Developmental edit
You've finished your draft, and now you need to know what it's doing.
One read of the whole manuscript, so you know what a reader gets from your book when you aren't there to explain it: where that matches what you meant, where it doesn't, and which of your own writing habits are causing problems in more than one place. You get an editorial letter, an annotated manuscript, and a revision roadmap organized in rounds, so you know what to do first.

Before I record anything, I've read your book the way I read a manuscript for a developmental edit: for the continuity threads, the dialogue and attitude patterns, and the subtext you built. That's how I know which lines have to carry more than they say. I can't help it. It's how my brain works.
